Ok, I had gotten the 07 package about a year ago. It all worked fine. Then I got a virus and had to completely redo my computer. At the time I didn’t have the 07 CD so didn’t immediately get to reinstall for about a month or so. In that time I had installed an 05/00 microsoft office in its place. Then I reinstalled the 07 but now it refuses to open its own 07 word documents.
I’ve tried an 07 word converter — doesn’t work.
I’ve tried uninstalling all of the other office programs (00/05) — still isn’t working.
When it says “open with” I try to find the Word program but can’t and it opens with something called a “Wordpad” in code.
This makes me want to rip my hair out. Any ideas? It’s starting to get annoying. I have to open Word then open the .docX file from its folder through the program to open it — while this is fine it’s also time-consuming. I want to be able to open it by clicking on the icon . . .
I did the browse thing and know it SHOULD work but it’s still not. It’s instead opening with something called “Wordpad” no idea what that is. . . . .
