File Programs

I downloaded utorrent and made it the primary application for open torrent files. Now I’m using limewire to download torrent files, mostly because limewire tells me if a torrent is corrupt when I download it, so I deleted utorrent. I don’t know how to change my settings now. When I try and download a torrent file, it says to change my preferences, but I’m not sure how. I’m 100% sure this is easy, I just don’t know what file I’m supposed to go into to change the settings. Please help …
